EGERARACSA

Egeraracsa is located among the hills of Zala in a picturesque valley cauldron.
The village of nearly 320 inhabitants is divided by the Bárándi stream leading to Kis-Balaton.

Aracsa is one of the oldest settlements in Zala County, in 1019 it was already a tithing place for the Zalaapáti Abbey. Its first church was built in 1237. The settlements of Eger and Aracsa were merged in 1880.

That area is a famous wine-growing area. As part of the Pogányvár vineyard  at the territories of Új Hill, János Hill,
 Mária Hill, Tök Hill is viniculture. Its attractiveness is the beautiful scenery with its rich flora and fauna, on the outskirts of the village there are forests rich in snowdrop. The sights of the village are the Prayer Hall, the tidycemetery, Millennium Memorial Park and the GULAG memorial plaque, as well as the two reservoirs on the outskirts of the settlement which promises pleasant relaxation for anglers.
